An international collaborative trial for relapsed and refractory acute lymphoblastic leukaemia UKALLR3
Sharon Love with The United Kingdom Children's Leukaemia Working Party
The last 3 years has seen the design, ethical approval and accrual to this protocol to standardise the treatment of children who fail induction or relapse once a morphological remission has been obtained.
The treatment regimens are rather complex, but in the main the analysis will be of an observational nature describing how the patients fared. However, patients will be randomised to receive one of two drugs in their induction regimen and the study is powered to find an answer as to which drug is preferable.
Accrual is ongoing.
