Designing Clinical Trials
It is important that the design of a clincal trial has been thoroughly considered before it is embarked upon. Whereas an inappropriate analysis of a trial may be re-performed correctly, an inappropriately designed trial may not be able to deliver any reliable answers, irrespective of its' analysis.
We encourage researchers who are contemplating running a clinical trial to consult a statistician before embarking on the trial, as well as at the end of the data collection phase.
